An Auckland property is picked to sell for $6 million even though the new owner is expected to simply bowl the house and build afresh.
The property is on the seaside in harbour-hugging Westmere, where three-bedroom homes sold for $1.9 million on average in July, according to Barfoot and Thompson data.
Real estate agent Angus Campbell, from Barfoot and Thompson, said he expected 32 Rawene Ave to reach “around $6 million” despite the current house on the site being an eccentric design and failing to meet council regulations.
