Building demolition ‘erodes’ Hamilton’s heritage

  • A 103-year-old building once home to generations of Catholic priests in Hamilton, will be torn down in July.

The presbytery beside Hamilton’s Cathedral of the Blessed Virgin Mary, in Hamilton East, will be levelled during the school holidays.

Parishioners were informed of the decision by Father Richard Laurenson on the weekend.
