housing developer

Claims of bullying, name-calling, abuse and intimidation have been made in a row over intensive housing development in Christchurch.

The claims follow objections by central city and inner suburb residents to new apartment construction, and what they see as aggressive behaviour by developers.

After a recent community meeting where residents aired concerns with city councillors, council staff, and community board members, Williams Corporation managing director Matthew Horncastle publicly called specific residents “nut jobs” and criticised media for reporting the meeting.
