Grey Lynn makeover fails to sell at auction

  • A derelict central Auckland villa that underwent a phenomenal makeover failed to sell under the hammer, attracting just one bid of $2.5 million which came in under reserve.

In a packed out auction at the home on Grey Lynn’s Leighton Street on Tuesday the bidding started – and ended – at $2.5 million.

The only bidder was not willing to bid any higher at the auction, but was in negotiations with the selling agents after the auction was over.
