Imagine what sort of house you might be able to afford if you pooled your resources with someone else. And what if that someone else was your parents? Could it work? How would it work?

Meet Karen and Nick Daish, and Karen’s parents Bets and Bob Blake. The two couples have just moved into a large house on a 1ha lifestyle block in Kaukapakapa, north of Auckland, and every aspect of the build has been custom designed for multigenerational living.
