Invercargill’s CBD is set for a major transformation, following HWCP’s purchase of a range of properties in the inner city.

HWCP Management Limited, which is a joint venture between HW Richardson Group and the council-owned Invercargill City Property, now own “about 90 per cent of the property” between Don and Esk streets and Kelvin and Dee streets.

The properties sold on Thursday previously belonged to a British investment consortium, Freehold Properties (Investments) LLP, who had owned them since 2008/2009.

The directors of Freehold Properties include Henrietta Russell, the Dowager Duchess of Bedford, and Lord David Wolfson of Sunningdale.
