Rare waterfront property in Waikawa, Marlborough, attracts ‘exceptional’ interest

A waterfront home in Waikawa, near Picton, has been attracting queues of prospective buyers despite its rusty roof and peeling paint job.

The property, on Waikawa Rd, has been owned by the same family for generations but was listed for sale by Harcourts Picton about three weeks ago.

Business owner and sales consultant Brenda Davey said there had been an exceptional response since the property was listed, something she attributed to its location and the fact it was a mortgagee sale.
