US billionaire Brian Sheth buys North Canterbury vineyard

US billionaire Brian Sheth​ and his wife have acquired Pyramid Valley Vineyards at Waikari in North Canterbury for $8 million.

They bought it from Claudia and Mike Weersing, who will remain on the property until new managers settle in.

The Overseas Investment Office announced the deal in a decision made before the new Labour-led Government took power in October.
