Waterfront homes ‘at risk’ within the next 30 years, experts warn

  • Waterfront homes may be at risk over the next 30 years if plans are not put in place now to manage rising sea levels, academics say.

Rising sea levels will significantly impact private property owners along the coast, online real estate publication The Fifth Estate managing editor Tina Perinotto said at a University of Sydney lecture about the coast’s vulnerability to sea level rise.
