Waterfront Hotel for sale, developers look to new proposal for CBD motel

  • A new motel is on the cards for the New Plymouth CBD, as the high-end Waterfront Hotel goes up for sale.

Sort Trust proprietors Susan and Neil Drought, and Kenneth Horner have applied for resource consent from the New Plymouth District Council to build a motel on 20-28 Gill St, across from the Centre City shopping complex.

The proposed motel would include 31 units, a manager’s apartment and 17 on site car parks, over three levels, a report to council detailed.
