  • New house data shows a raft of Kiwi homeowners have been left shivering in a property price deep freeze.

Average house prices in areas from Coopers Beach to Tauranga Taupo have plummeted since their peak levels before the global financial crisis, according to research by analysts, Corelogic.

It said Auckland’s housing market is so overheated that few can imagine there are parts of the country left untouched by the property boom there.
