A Coromandel group are seeking $50,000 to save New Chum beach from development.
Preserve New Chum for Everyone spokesperson Catherine Delahunty said the effort to preserve the area from development had been going on for nearly a decade.
“And because the subdivision hasn’t yet happened on the land next to New Chum people think we’ve won, but unfortunately we have not.”
