A disgraced real estate agent had her practicing licence cancelled after losing an appeal to overturn an initial 18-month suspension.

Indra Prasad, formerly with Harcourts Image Realty Ltd in Manukau, was originally found guilty of two counts of misconduct by the Real Estate Disciplinary Tribunal in January 2019.

In the process of selling a south Auckland property, Prasad failed to tell prospective buyers the property would be affected by a road upgrade – the Redoubt Rd-Mill Rd Corridor Project – before it was sold at auction.

She then retroactively added notes to her diary and to sales documents to support her argument she had told everyone about the roadworks.

New owner Kamaljit Singh claimed he lost $160,000 after renovating and then attempting to sell the property because it had lost 107sqm to the project.
