With scruffy hair and a wardrobe full of t-shirts, Ed Sheeran isn’t your typical A-list celebrity.
However, the global pop star, 29, has yet again topped the list of the richest British celebrities under 30, with his fortune rising to a whopping £210m.
Ed – who lives in neighbouring Suffolk, where he grew up – amassed a further £40 million over the last year, according to Heat’s annual guide to the UK and Ireland’s wealthiest stars aged 30 and under.
He came above ex-One Direction singer Harry Styles, 26, who was valued at £74 million, while former Harry Potter actor Emma Watson, 30, found herself in third place with an estimated worth of £58 million.
Ed recently hit the headlines after it emerged pupils’ grades had skyrocketed at his old school in Suffolk after the singer donated £200,000 towards teaching materials.
Head of art, Nikki Sholl, revealed photography results had been the best in the six years the course has run, with more than 92 per cent getting A* to C.
“It’s difficult to express just how positively this grant has impacted on teaching and pupils’ experience,” she said.
Ed became a father last month when his wife Cherry gave birth to their daughter, who they called Lyra Antarctica Seaborn Sheeran.
