First residents move into new North Canterbury subdivision Ravenswood

Their only neighbours may be a McDonald’s restaurant and a petrol station, but Jodi and Matthew Firman don’t expect to be alone for long.

The couple are the first residents to move into one of North Canterbury’s biggest subdivisions – Ravenswood.

Ravenswood is expected to eventually have 1500 homes over 150 hectares off State Highway 1, near Woodend north of Christchurch.
