Matthew Perry’s Los Angeles mansion has been purchased by movie producer and Arizona-based real estate developer Anita Verma-Lallian for $8.55 million. The property, located in the Pacific Palisades, was Perry’s home before his tragic passing on October 28, 2023. Verma-Lallian, represented by Christie’s International Real Estate, intends to use the 3,500-square-foot, four-bedroom mid-century modern home as a vacation retreat.
Perry, best known for his role as Chandler Bing on Friends, acquired the home in 2020 for $6 million. The sale marks a bittersweet moment as fans continue to remember the actor’s impactful life and career. The LA County Medical Examiner confirmed Perry’s passing was due to the acute effects of ketamine, with additional factors such as coronary artery disease and buprenorphine contributing to his untimely death. His manner of death was classified as accidental.
Perry’s passing has inspired his family to establish the Matthew Perry Foundation of Canada, committed to supporting addiction recovery, a cause close to the actor’s heart. Keith Morrison, Perry’s stepfather, recently spoke on the loss, stating, “Even if you are in some way prepared for the possibility, it’s shattering.” The foundation serves as a legacy, honoring Perry’s dedication to helping others struggling with addiction.
Verma-Lallian’s new vacation home stands as a piece of Hollywood history in a prime LA neighborhood, offering a place where Perry once enjoyed serenity.
