His neighbours will be directors, actors, writers and Oscar winners when he moves into his new LA home, so Kiwi director Taika Waititi will fit right in.

According to Variety, the Oscar nominated writer, actor and director of Two Cars, One Night, and Marvel’s Thor: Ragnarok and wife, What We Do In The Shadows producer Chelsea Winstanley, have bought a four-bedroom, Mid-century home in Studio City – the hilly region north of LA’s famed Runyon Canyon and Hollywood – for US$2.3 million (NZ$3.5m).

The home formerly belonged to Emmy-nominated producer, writer and director Marti Noxon (Sharp Objects, UnReal), who purchased the property to flip in October 2018.
