After captivating audiences worldwide with sold-out performances, Taylor Swift is set to grace our corner of the globe.
While New Zealand won’t host her tour, some Kiwis are still seizing the opportunity, including an enthusiastic mother and daughter duo.

The pop sensation is scheduled to perform seven shows in Australia, with three in Melbourne and four in Sydney.
Jen and her eight-year-old daughter Emily Taylor from Palmerston North were fortunate enough to secure seats at one of Swift’s Melbourne shows.
“There was definitely a lack of sleep last night,” Jen shared with Breakfast from Auckland Airport this morning.
“Emily’s birthday is next week, so we had to choose between Sydney – where the concert falls on her birthday, but tickets were unavailable – and Melbourne. Fortunately, we snagged tickets for Melbourne. We’re incredibly grateful for that.”
Emily exclaimed that it was the greatest birthday gift she could ever receive and proudly displayed her friendship bracelets, a trademark of Swiftie fashion.
“Some of these are from my pen pal Harper in Christchurch, and I made some of them myself,” she explained.
Emily plans to exchange some of her bracelets with fellow fans at the concert.
Jen confessed that securing the tickets was “quite challenging.” The overwhelming demand from both sides of the Tasman Sea resulted in many Swifties missing out.
“My entire team was glued to the computer trying to secure tickets,” she said. “So we’re thrilled that we managed to get them. However, it was actually a friend of mine in Melbourne who ultimately secured them, not us. It was quite a task.”
Jen’s company, Taylored Mortgages, has even paid homage to their ticket success story with a temporary rebranding as “Taylor Swift Mortgages” for the week.
