Eliza and Liberty, the sisters behind the luxurious home renovated on The Block in 2023, have put their masterpiece up for auction with an astonishingly low reserve price of just $1. This stunning five-bedroom, four-bathroom, two-storey residence located at 22 Charming St, Hampton East, was initially purchased on the show by ‘Lambo guy’ Adrian Portelli for $4.3 million, securing the girls a remarkable profit of $1.05 million for House 5.

Now entrusted to the expertise of Ray White Sunbury principals Aaron Hill and Marin Durkovic, the property is scheduled to go under the hammer on April 21. Although the Statement of Information suggests an indicative selling price range of $2.9 million to $3.2 million, the rock-bottom reserve price is certain to attract significant interest from potential buyers.

Explaining the unique circumstances surrounding the auction, Mr. Hill mentioned, “Adrian raffled his houses, and the winners opted for the $2 million cash prize instead of the property, which is why we’ve been tasked with auctioning off this breathtaking home.” With the reserve set at a mere $1, the highest bidder on the day will secure ownership of this exceptional residence.

Mr. Portelli, renowned for founding LMCT+, an online rewards club and shopping tool, also acquired Steph and Gian’s House 4 and Kyle and Leslie’s House 1 during the 2023 series of The Block, both of which have already been auctioned.

The features of 22 Charming St include a spacious floor plan spanning two levels, making it the largest property on The Block, situated on one of the most expansive plots of land. Earthy textures, raked ceilings, European Oak floorboards, bespoke lighting, and contemporary tiling contribute to its stylish allure. The fully furnished home boasts four bedrooms, four bathrooms, two entertainment zones, a designer kitchen, and a pool house/fifth bedroom.

Mr. Durkovic revealed that over 400 groups have toured the property since its launch last week, with the majority of interest stemming from local buyers, alongside some investor interest and bargain hunters. As he noted, “Anyone could emerge as the winning bidder.”
