Malcolm Gillies has walked away from his real estate business after 25 years but says he’s not hanging up his hat just yet.

In the midst of record property prices in Upper Hutt, it may seem like an odd time to be selling the city’s biggest real estate business, but that is exactly what Gillies has done.

The Upper Hutt developer sold Professionals Gillies Realty in early April, to concentrate on a number of big ticket projects.

“I’m redirecting my time and energy into projects that give me the most satisfaction.”
