At a time when we can’t travel, there are many of us who are craving holidays abroad more than ever, and one of those is Penny Reidy.
Market Fresh SA’s marketing, communications and business development manager, says she couldn’t live without her passport and hopes to get to Antarctica and the Maldives as soon as she can.
While she spends more time at home, at least her resort-like backyard and swimming pool has that holiday vibe.
“ I love my home because it is low maintenance but great for entertaining, especially in summer by the pool,” she says. “When I’m home I like to cook cheese platters – they are my specialty. Love using fresh local produce on these – lucky I work at the produce markets and have access to 88 independent retailers.”
She has also filled her home with trinkets and memories from her travels, although she says her decorating style would be classed as minimalist.
And if she had to change job now, being a travel writer would be at the top of her list.
