Rachel Grunwell is a journalist-turned wellness expert and author. She lives with her husband Damien Buckley and three sons Zach, 14, Lachie, 12, and Finn, 8, in a renovated Mt Eden villa.
RACHEL: I’ve got three boys, so we squeezed into this tiny, 120-year-old Smurf house because it was within walking distance to Auckland Grammar.
I call it the Smurf house because it’s painted duck-egg blue. I hate beige anything, so it’s kind of a reflection of my personality.
The house was a rundown heap and had been renowned for its parties when renters lived there. We moved out for six months and builders took over to gut it.
