Queenstown’s property market has plenty to celebrate after a string of record-breaking awards put Bayleys Queenstown firmly in the spotlight—headlined by one of the region’s best-known agents hitting the $1 billion sales mark.
💰 The Billion-Dollar Man
Top-performing Bayleys Queenstown agent Jimmy Allen has officially joined the elite “Billion Dollar Club,” recognised for exceeding $1 billion worth of property sales in the last decade.
Allen was also awarded for completing the most deals of any agent in a medium-size Bayleys franchise nationwide over the past financial year.
🏆 A Clean Sweep of Awards
The Queenstown team dominated the recent Bayleys national awards:
-
Office Auction Award (medium-sized franchises) – won for a record fifth time
-
Dee McQuillan – crowned National Sales Manager of the Year
-
Tracey Laker, Bayleys Arrowtown – took home Residential Rookie of the Year
-
Queenstown office & Bayleys Projects – won Marketing Campaign of the Year for selling down Frankton’s Five Mile Villas
🏡 What It Means for the Market
Bayleys Queenstown co-owner Stacy Coburn says the recognition is a reflection of a resilient property market, even as challenges remain.
“There’s a lot more stock available for first-home buyers under that critical $1 million point,” Coburn explained, noting that investors are back in the market.
Meanwhile, managing director David Gubb says Bayleys is leveraging partnerships with Australia’s McGrath and global property powerhouse Knight Frank to attract international buyers.
At the premium end of the market, Coburn says demand is growing fast:
“We’re seeing more confidence in the $4m-plus sector. With our proven results, it’s a space we’re now strongly positioned to dominate.”
