In a surprising turn of events, Kerri Hayman, the CEO of Domino’s Pizza Enterprises for Australia and New Zealand, has announced her resignation effective August 29, 2025, after just nine months in the role. Hayman, who began her Domino’s journey in 1988 alongside her brother, former CEO Don Meij, described the decision as the right time to take the next step in her career.

Domino’s Franchisee Collapse in New Zealand: A Symptom of Broader Economic Struggles

Hayman’s departure marks another leadership change for the pizza giant, following Meij’s own resignation in November 2024 after over two decades at the helm. Meij was succeeded by Mark van Dyck, a former Coca-Cola executive, who initiated a significant restructuring, including the closure of 200 underperforming stores globally.

During her brief tenure, Hayman focused on operational excellence and product innovation, contributing to a 10% increase in underlying earnings for the Australia and New Zealand division in fiscal 2024. She will remain with the company until the end of August to ensure a smooth transition. In the interim, Greg Steenson has been appointed as Chief Operating Officer for Australia.
