DESPERATE buyers priced out of the real estate market could soon find another way in — through fractional property investment.

A start-up is offering house hunters the chance to skip the gruelling wait to put together a deposit by joining forces with other investors to buy only a share of a property.

The arrangement offered by CoVesta allows investors to own as little as one per cent of a home. They then share in the capital growth and rental income proportionate to the size of their ownership stake.
