Victoria Lane apartments

Blink and you’ll miss it – perhaps forever.

A tiny park in the central city may be entering its final days as the city seeks to allow developers to use it as part of a new apartment complex.

The unnamed 100sqm park at 79 Dixon St, on the corner with Victoria St, is owned by property development company Willis Bond & Co, but has a council-imposed encumbrance over it.

It compels the property owner to maintain it and permit the Wellington City Council (WCC) and general public to use it as a public garden and seating at all times.

Don't be shy! Have your say....
