Four large, two-storey townhouses are going up in Huia Road, Point Chevalier, on the site where The Block NZ 2020 is expected to take place.
The townhouses replace two older bungalows on a double site owned by Warner Bros, which makes the series.
Some local residents were bemused to see makeshift signs pop up this week in front of several houses on the opposite side of the road reading: “Resident parking only, strictly no construction parking”.
Within a day or two the signs had all been flattened.
