She may be the daughter of rap legend Eminem, but Hailie Jade is carving her own legacy — and it’s not in the recording studio. The 29-year-old Michigan native, now wife to Evan McClintock and mum to newborn son Elliot, has become an unexpected star in the world of celebrity home renovation.

In early 2025, while heavily pregnant, Hailie undertook a top-to-bottom renovation of her best friend Brittany’s aging 1990s Detroit home — and turned the entire experience into a viral, HGTV-style YouTube series called “Just a Little Reno.”

🧠 The Vision: Turning Outdated Into Outstanding

Brittany and her husband Brian had just purchased the tired suburban home for its “good bones,” but it was Hailie who saw the full design potential:

“When Brittany showed it to me, I could instantly see the vision,” she says. “We knew we could turn its outdated features into something really special.”

Hailie took the reins from day one — overseeing paint colours, flooring, furniture selection, layout planning, and even wall removals. All while preparing to give birth.

“I handled all the design decisions from start to finish — and I loved every minute of it,” she says.

🏡 Living Room Glow-Up: Coziest Spot in the House

The highlight of the reno? The living room — a space that Hailie believes sets the tone for the entire home.

“It’s where we spend the most time. Brittany’s cathedral ceiling gave it so much character, and we made sure it felt cozy, stylish, and perfect for hosting.”

It mirrors her own home, which features a two-storey living space flooded with natural light and an open-concept layout that balances comfort with entertainment value.

🎬 Just a Little Reno: A Reality Series With Heart

“Just a Little Reno” isn’t just a vanity project — it’s an authentic, DIY-style show that’s resonating with viewers around the world. Fans love seeing the intimate friendship between Hailie and Brittany, the real-life time crunch, and Hailie’s eye for functional interior design.

“The most rewarding part is always seeing the transformation at the end of the project,” Hailie says.

The series is being praised for showing the true process behind a renovation, from stress to satisfaction — all while documenting a major life event: pregnancy.

🌆 Staying Grounded in Detroit

Despite her global fame, Hailie remains loyal to her Detroit roots.

“I’ve grown up in this area my whole life. It’s full of creativity, resilience, and community — and I’m proud to stay close to that.”

It’s a fitting hometown for someone building a name in design and real estate: a city that, like her projects, is constantly transforming and reinventing itself.

👶 From Dream Reno to Dream Nursery

With baby Elliot now here and the renovation complete, Hailie is taking a brief break — but the response to her debut series has already sparked interest in a second season.

And if the buzz around “Just a Little Reno” is anything to go by, this is only the beginning of Hailie Jade’s home design empire.
