The suspension, effective from Friday, will remain in place for 120 days, according to the regulator’s public register. While the exact reason has not been officially confirmed, it follows a compliance investigation first reported by Daily Mail Australia.

💬 NSW Fair Trading previously stated Tesolin and his agency were under investigation following “proactive compliance blitzes into underquoting and complaints.”

⚖ What NSW Fair Trading Rules Say

Under NSW property laws, agents must:
✅ Provide a reasonable selling price estimate in the agency agreement.
✅ Ensure any price range advertised does not exceed a 10% variation.
❌ Underquoting is illegal and can result in fines up to $22,000.

There is no suggestion Mr Tesolin has been found guilty of underquoting — only that he remains under investigation.

📈 Tesolin’s Property Empire

Despite the scrutiny, Tesolin’s sales performance has been extraordinary. He reportedly earned $9 million in commissions last financial year and, with wife Sophia, owns a $15 million property portfolio.

The suspension comes just weeks after Tesolin rebranded from Ray White to Queensland-based NGU — a move his lawyer described as “a mutual decision to support new business ventures.”

🔄 Ray White’s Compliance Review

Before the switch, Ray White initiated a compliance review into Tesolin’s incentive fee structures.
Ray White HQ stated:

“Given the seriousness and public nature of the allegations regarding incentive fees, we have agreed with Josh that we will undertake our own compliance review into his arrangements.”
