🏠 A Bold New Era Begins at REINZ
In a major move for the New Zealand property industry, the Real Estate Institute of New Zealand (REINZ) has appointed Lizzy Ryley as its new Chief Executive, effective Monday, 16 June 2025.
The appointment signals a strategic shift as REINZ looks to modernise its operations, strengthen its member value proposition, and prepare the profession for a future defined by data, disruption, and digital transformation.
📈 Experience That Matters
Ryley brings with her an impressive portfolio of leadership roles across customer engagement, loyalty, data strategy, and membership-driven organisations — both here and abroad.
REINZ Chair Kevin Jenkins says the Board was unanimous in its decision.
“Lizzy brings a deep understanding of how to create meaningful value for members, supported by innovation, insight, and operational excellence,” Jenkins said.
“Her tenure at Flybuys, where she led significant transformation, demonstrated an ability to evolve complex organisations, increase engagement, and drive results. That’s exactly what REINZ needs right now.”

🌍 Global Thinking, Local Focus
Ryley’s previous roles include senior leadership at Woolworths Group in both New Zealand and Australia, with core responsibilities across marketing, loyalty programmes, CSR, and data insight strategy. Her global experience includes work in UK-based FMCG and retail organisations, as well as stints in academic business leadership.
“REINZ has a proud history and a clear purpose in supporting a trusted, future-ready profession,” said Ryley.
“I’m excited to join the organisation at this pivotal time and build on the important work already underway.”
🙌 A Smooth Leadership Transition
Outgoing Acting CEO Rowan Dixon was thanked for his steady leadership during the transition.
“We are grateful to Rowan for his maturity and focus in guiding REINZ through this period,” Jenkins said.
“His efforts have ensured stability while we made this critical appointment. Now, with Lizzy’s arrival, REINZ is primed to evolve and grow as the market begins to show signs of recovery.”
