After 30 years, the face of Waitara real estate has shut the door on her realty career.

Last week Sheryl Page retired, saying goodbye to a job where she believed she had sold about $150 million in property.

It was a profession she took up in 1989 following her own bad real estate experience in which she felt she had been short changed.

“That’s what made me think I need to go into real estate.”

Prior to that, the 69-year-old worked at the Waitara branch of the Bank of New Zealand before having her two children, Marnie and Spencer, with husband David.
