Former television chef Pete Evans and his wellness advocate wife, Nicola Evans, have received an offer for their Northern Rivers cooking retreat, which was listed in January.

The property, known as Evolve Sanctuary, is located in Byrrill Creek and features a main house and seven cabins on 7.9 hectares of rainforest. The retreat, which accommodates up to 17 guests, has been marketed as a leader in wellness tourism with a strong cashflow, according to JET Real Estate agent Tania Sheppard.

The listing presented the option for a new owner to either establish their own business or enter into a rental agreement with the Evanses to continue operating the retreat.

Evolve Sanctuary offers various wellness services, including a $1,750-per-weekend men’s retreat that features ice baths, red-light therapy, a float tank, and an infrared sauna.

Although no sale price has been disclosed, the Evanses purchased the property for $1 million in 2020 and made significant updates. The property, located 66km northwest of Byron Bay, garnered over 11,000 views on realestate.com.au during its marketing campaign.

The couple won’t be leaving the area entirely, as they still own a neighboring property they bought in 2021 for a record $1.75 million. This 72-hectare estate includes a five-bedroom home and is part of the small Byrrill Creek enclave, which has just under 40 properties.

Pete Evans and Nicola relocated to Northern Rivers after Evans was dropped from Channel 7’s My Kitchen Rules in 2020. Prior to their move, they sold two properties in Sydney’s Malabar for a combined $6 million.
