A real estate agent, Kun Hu, secretly agreed to share a $326,000 commission from a $26.5 million property sale with the buyer but later ignored their request for their agreed share. The Real Estate Agents Disciplinary Tribunal ordered him to pay $25,000 in legal costs and imposed a censure after the buyer lodged a complaint. Despite claims of pressure from the buyer, the tribunal found Hu guilty of unsatisfactory conduct for not disclosing the commission-sharing agreement to the seller or his manager, breaching his fiduciary duty. The buyer is pursuing further civil action for half of the commission.
